What a weekend!  Saturday was a blast - We went to our local farmers market for a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, where my boy picked out a pumpkin for himself.  They had a pumpkin contest also, and the winner was over 1000 pounds (I didn’t add an extra zero there, 1000!)  That beauty would make a lot of pumpkin pies!

Then we went to a park with lots of maple trees, and played in the leaves - I cannot tell you how much fun it was!  Who would have thought you could have so much fun just playing with a pile of dead leaves!  Got in some quality time on the swings, and then home for the last barbeque of the season.

It was an absolutely beautiful fall day here on the west coast, so we decided to drop all of our chores and just spend the day playing, and it was awesome!  It did make for a busy Sunday, however, as we still had to get those weekend chores done, but it was so worth it to have the entire day just playing in the sun.

So the next time you find yourself in the middle of a pickle because you have a schedule to keep, but something truly wonderful comes up, be flexible with yourself!  If you can change things around then do so, and enjoy the moment!
