I have done it! I am cutting back on coffee! Today I only had one small cup of coffee (although my hubby does make it pretty strong!) I can’t believe how much of a habit it is - some days I don’t even think that I like the taste of it, but I like the feel of holding the warm cup in my hands, and it gives me an excuse to sit and relax for a minute while I drink it. Isn’t that crazy? I just don’t think a cold glass of water is going to give me that some feeling!
I think that is the key, however, knowing the trigger - having an excuse to sit for a minute (because I don’t get alot of those with a two year old). Another thing that seems to be making it easier for me to cut back is eating raw foods. I am amazed at how much energy I have been feeling these days by eating more raw fruits and veggies - I just seem to be waking up with more energy and alertness, so the morning coffee buzz doesn’t seem as important.
I know I still have a way to go to cut it out completely, but I will keep you posted on my progress!
